Etwas in eigener Sache

Liebe Kunden,

diejenigen, die nun seit Jahren dabei sind haben es – hoffentlich gemerkt – der Import der Figuren nach Deutschland nimmt an Geschwindigkeit zu. Zwar nicht so stark, wie wir alle es gerne hätten, aber dennoch stetig. Wir würden auch selber gerne einen guten Schritt zulegen, aber aktuell ist dies nicht so ganz einfach möglich. Den Grund hierfür möchte ich hier in diesem Post erklären.

Als HandsomeCake gegründet wurde, waren wir nur zu zweit – ich (hier in Deutschland) und mein EX-Kommilitone, der in China vor Ort ist und die Kommunikation mit den Studios für mich übernehmen konnte. Dies hat auch recht gut funktioniert, bis… nun ja, eben das Leben kam. Er hat drüben einen Job bekommen, hat ein Kind bekommen, die Zeit wurde immer knapper. Nach langem Überlegen, dafür aber kurzer Abstimmung sind wir beide zum Entschluss gekommen, dass es für alle besser wäre, wenn seinen Part nun eine Firma in China übernimmt. Ich hatte bisher immer etwas Angst davor, aber wir konnten einen verlässlichen Partner finden, bei dem eben dieser persönliche Faktor nun so gut wie komplett wegfällt.

Wir haben noch Ware für ca. 2 – 3 volle Container, die noch von meinem Partner bearbeitet werden und die nicht ganz so schnell abgewickelt werden, neue Ware kommt allerdings schon bei der neuen Logistikfirma an. Wir haben aktuell ca. 20% eines 40 Fuß Containers gefüllt.

Dear customers,

Those of you who have been with us for a few years now have hopefully noticed that the import of the figures to Germany is picking up speed. Not as much as we would all like, but still steadily. We would also like to increase a good step ourselves, but currently this is not so easily possible. The reason for this I would like to explain here in this post.

When HandsomeCake was founded, there were only two of us – me (here in Germany) and my EX-colleague, who is on the ground in China and could take over the communication with the studios for me. This worked quite well, until… well, life came along. He got a job over there, had a child, time was getting short. After a long time of thinking about it, but a short coordination, we both came to the decision that it would be better for everyone if a company in China took over his part. I was always a little afraid of this, but we were able to find a reliable partner, where this personal factor is now almost completely eliminated.

We still have goods for approx. 2 – 3 full containers, which are still being processed by my partner and which are not handled quite as quickly, but new goods are already arriving at the new logistics company. We currently have about 20% of a 40 foot container filled.
