Liebe Kunden,
wir haben in China beinahe die Grenze für den nächsten Container erreicht und warten eigentlich nur noch auf das aktuelle Angebot von UPS Seefreight. Da die Angriffe der Huthi-Rebellen nach wie vor eine Gefahr darstellen, wollen wir natürlich eine möglichst sichere Lieferung abwickeln und vergleichen daher verschiedene Routen sowie den Bahntransport. Dies kann zu leichten Verzögerungen führen. Eine Liste findet ihr wie immer weiter unten. Bitte beachtet, dass diese aktuell etwas kleiner ausfallen wird, da wir extrem viele lifesize Statuen nach Deutschland bringen, welche wiederum viel Platz belegen. Unser Lieferant (_nicht_ das Lager) hat bei sich ebenfalls noch sehr viele Bestellungen, so dass wir vermutlich bereits in 1-2 Monaten einen weiteren Container auf die Reise schicken.
Wundert euch also bitte nicht, dass eine bereits erschienene Statue nicht in dieser Liste auftaucht. Zu 95% ist sie einfach noch bei unserem Großhändler.
Eine weitere Nachricht in eigener Sache – wir sind uns selbstverständlich bewusst, dass die Informationspolitik zu Releases und zum Status der Bestellung noch Luft nach oben zur Verbesserung hat. Deswegen stecken wir aktuell jeden Gewinneuro in die Entwicklung einer speziellen Software, die die Prozesse für alle Beteiligten und natürlich vor allem für die Kunden transparenter machen soll – sprich, sobald diese Software fertig ist, dann erhält jeder Kunde nahezu in Echtzeit Updates zur Bestellung. Denn aktuell machen wir alles von Hand und das dauert, da passieren Fehler. Auch können wir dann endlich sowas wie einen Call-Center beauftragen, der dann vernünftige Antworten geben kann (würde aktuell einfach keinen Sinn machen) und niemand ist mehr auf mich alleine angewiesen, der nach dem Feierabend vom Hauptjob noch 2 Stunden am Telefon ins Tagesgeschehen irgendwie reinquetscht. Leider kann ich nicht sagen, wann die Software genau fertig wird, da die Stornierungen immer wieder einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen – kommen 20-30 auf einmal und muss ich erstmal schauen, wo kriegt man die 40000-50000€ her, dann wird der Kredit nicht für die Software(weiter)entwicklung aufgenommen, sondern lediglich für die Auszahlung der Stornierungen. Wir bleiben aber auf jeden Fall alle dran und sobald der erste Meilenstein erreicht ist, wird’s ein Update geben.

Dear customers,
We have almost reached the limit for the next container in China and are actually just waiting for the latest offer from UPS Seefreight. As the attacks by the Huthi rebels continue to pose a threat, we naturally want to handle the safest possible delivery and are therefore comparing various routes and rail transportation. This may lead to slight delays. As always, you can find a list below. Please note that this will currently be somewhat smaller, as we are bringing an extremely large number of lifesize statues to Germany, which in turn take up a lot of space. Our supplier (not the warehouse) also has a lot of orders, so we will probably send another container on its way in 1-2 months.
So please don’t be surprised if a statue that has already been released does not appear in this list. 95% of them are simply still with our wholesaler.
Another message on our own behalf – we are of course aware that the information policy on releases and the status of orders still has room for improvement. That’s why we are currently investing every last euro of profit in the development of special software that will make the processes more transparent for everyone involved and, of course, especially for customers – in other words, as soon as this software is ready, every customer will receive order updates almost in real time. At the moment, we do everything by hand and that takes time, so mistakes happen. We’ll also finally be able to hire something like a call center that can give proper answers (which just wouldn’t make sense at the moment) and no one will have to rely on me alone to squeeze in two hours on the phone after work from my main job. Unfortunately, I can’t say exactly when the software will be finished, as cancellations are always throwing a spanner in the works – if 20-30 come at once and I have to see where to get the 40000-50000€, then the loan won’t be taken out for the (further) development of the software, but only for the payment of the cancellations. In any case, we’ll all keep at it and as soon as the first milestone is reached, there’ll be an update.
